Goodbye Sweet Jack

Today we had to say goodbye to our little dog, Jackson. Not yet nine years old, but really starting to feel the effects of what diabetes can do to a little dog. Steve and I felt it was time to let him go. Maddy and Max went with me to the vet's. We all stood by his side as the vet administered the injection. He went quickly and peacefully. Then we were allowed to spend as much time as we wanted to say goodbye. Maddy hugged him and cried. Max kept asking me if I was going to cry more. It was strange and sad to come home to a house without Jack waiting for us.

We will really miss him. Goodbye sweet Jack.
